I have dried active yeast as you suggested that was what you used in the comments. But it says about activating in water however I’ve just put it straight into the dough? As the recipe states to put it with the flour and sugar and mix before adding the butter.

Do you freeze ahead of baking or after they’re baked?

Hiya! this can be for a number of reasons, such as gone off yeast, you accidentally killing the yeast with other ingredients, not leaving it long enough to rise (as that can vary in time), etc. Hope this helps! x

I’m not entirely sure but I assume you can knead the dough in the bread maker? x

Can i use regular plain home baking flour instead of strong bread flour?

Hey – so yes it means heat the milk, but you just add the egg and milk straight into the dough, you don’t need to add them to each other!
